Well, run SQL analyzer on the SQL box and see what it is doing. If it's slow, consider indexing the tables? Probably not SQL, though. Probably data across the wire and InfoPath SQL data connection issues. After downloading, save your form out as XML. How big is it? If it's >500k, your SQL query may be a good place to restrict the amount ...

Hi Igor92128,
You can browser-enable a form with code but it requires an extra activation when publishing to SharePoint (due to security restrictions of adding code).

Sigh. This is why we created our Web service which is not tied to SQL data types. It submits XML to the DB and use that for 100% fidelity. Loose coupling is submitting XML to Web service as a string that is mapped to SQL by the Web service. This loose coupling works because InfoPath does the XML validation. We have a taskpane tool that will show you the required fields. Doesn't work in browser mode since SharePoint doesn't support taskpanes, but if you're running the client, it could help people know where to go to finish filling out the form. Send us e-mail if you are interested. I'll try to get it posted to our site.

Hey MightyTook,
That is definitely the hard-knocks way to do it. You might be able to programmatically set Item level perms in MOSS 2007 with some code that calls SharePoint's OM.
Of course, with our Qdabra Web service (trial is free), it's trivial. Just set the Document Level permissions based on a field in your form (for example, ...

Hi Beulah,
You can use our free trial Web Service (DBXL) to do this: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/DBXL.aspx . Let me know if you have questions or would like a quick demo.
