Hi OCUser01 and sorry for missing your post,
Chatted with Greg, Ben and Nick and we need more informaiton. How do you know it's looping? Can you add some dialog boxes rules in the submit button to get some feedback on where the submit process is?
More soon,

This would require programmatically changing the view's XSL which is not supported. It would be cool to do it but the only thing that comes close is to use the cursor context to show guidance text. As far as I know, you can't dynamically set tooltips, but we have often wanted to. If you find a trick, let us know! :)

Hi Ian,
This is an advanced topic and requires some expertise using Visual Studio or XML Spy. It's very difficult to debug XSLTs without the proper tool. you should Google "XSLT editor" and see what comes up. There are a bunch out there. The SDK is definitely a good place to begin. This will take you some time. There's no quick ...

Hi XGuild,
Cool post and thanks for the intro to SLAM. Couple comments on that:

Hi MattB and welcome,
Just use rules instead of default submit. One rule submits to SharePoint and another rule sends e-mail. You'll have to define data connections for both SharePoint and e-mail, but this is straightforward.

Hi TBMedina,
My guess is that it's because you are using Forms Services and your InfoPath form now has managed code (per the warning) and SharePoint is complaining because you haven't activated the form. Browser enabled forms with code must be activated. Let us know if you don't know how to do that. Janice Thorne is planning a blog on ...

Hi Riehmc and welcome,
Why can't you use a filter or query just the current user's info? Our AD Web service works well in these scenarios and there is a free trial available. http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/ADWebService.aspx

Hi Donna and welcome!
Thanks for the detailed post. Sorry we missed it last weekend. I'll reply more in detail later.
Best practices:
Use a Web Service between InfoPath and SQL - allows for SQL to be on a different server when you have Forms Services; reduces cost of maintenance when schemas change
Use Loose Coupling in your Web ...
