• Re: Submitting Data to SharePoint Library

Hi Jessica, Yes, ensure that you have a unique file name created upon submit. A good way to do this is to use the concat() function and concatenate two fields together or use the now() function which grabs the date and time stamp. Let us know if you need a walk-through.

  • Open a Linked form in Browser view from a SharePoint Workflow Task List

Kudos to Russell Wright on his great article entitled "Using XSLT to Create a Forms Server Link on a Task Form." The premise is that when a workflow is created around an XML form, there is a To-Do item in the task list that links to a view of the form to which the task is linked. Even if you have the library configured to open that ...

  • Re: how to change the url name ?

Hello Ramakrishna, You will need to add an Alternate Access Mapping in Sharepoint Central Administration. When you do so, you will need to ensure that you add an entry to DNS so that your users will be able to access it there. Please review this website for the details. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263208.aspx

  • Re: Alternate Access Mapping

Hello Tasnim, Ensure that you have your <portal_name> listed as an entry in the Hosts file on the server and that it is added to DNS. Also sometimes publishing to a sub-site can cause issues. Republish the form to the top level site and see if it throws the same error. Please let us know the outcome. Thanks.

  • Re: Trying to submit form to secured library

Hello Imnverted, For users to submit forms to a library they need to be able to have access to do so - just like any other library. That said, you have a couple options. By default, users with "Contribute" permissions have Read, Write, Edit and Delete permissions. In the main site collection, (if you are the administrator) you can ...

  • Re: Enable version control on the Forms Server

Hello Miceagol and welcome to the forums! It sounds like you are trying to upload your form as an Administrator Approved form. You will actually need to publish that form as an Administrator Approved Form. See this Technet article for complete information on doing this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262921.aspx. Also, this blog may ...

  • Re: default paper size

I don't believe there is any way to change the default paper size, but perhaps you can create a print view for your users. Here is a link that may help: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/HP010981031033.aspx . This way, no matter what printer they are using the form will print the same.

  • Re: Administrator-Approved Form Template Error Opening In Browser

Hello Infoman, The first thing to check is if you have activated the form to a site collection you are accessing it from. Also, have you successfully published other Administrator Approved form templates in this SharePoint environment? If you have and this is the only one you are having trouble with, try uploading the form template via ...
