I know you keep referring to this as being very easy outside the confines of SharePoint, but unless I'm completely missing something, then I'm not sure that is the case. The reason I say this is you referred to keeping it as close to a relational database as possible, but the design you've been going for is not how a relational ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-13-2011 Re: Repeating table and SP2010 lists? That was one of the two suggestions I gave much earlier in the thread. [quote user="warrtalon"]InfoPath list forms cannot have repeating data like this, so you need to decide if you're going to be ok with having a separate list item per language per person or not. If not, then you're going to have to create a non-repeating ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-13-2011 Re: Pass item ID of selected item in list view to newly open InfoPath form That checkbox is for the contextual ribbon - it may require some custom code to take that focus and pass it as a parameter to your form the way you're asking. However, there are much more direct built-in methods of doing what you're trying to accomplish. The first thing is that I don't think the comments should be an entire ... Posted to InfoPath 2010 (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-11-2011 Re: Infopath connecting to sharepoint Skylab, what exactly do you mean by "SharePoint website database." Do you just mean SharePoint itself? When you use InfoPath with SharePoint, it has to be published directly to a form library, and that is where the users go to fill out the form by clicking New. This is also where the form will be submitted upon ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-11-2011 Re: One Template, multiple sites It would have to be a content type, and it would have to use the Save functionality (not submit) so that the forms are saved back to the location where they originated. With a submit data connection, the location is static and doesn't change when adding the content type to a new location unless you code to make this data connection ... Posted to Code (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: Disable submit button I can't stress enough how simple it is. It's just logic - black and white. Share with us what your conditions were, and we can help you fix it. Maybe it's just not clicking, but once you see it, it will make a ton of sense. This concept is critical for any InfoPath development. Without ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: Validate File Extension in attachement +1 to what Jimmy wrote except that it's not in all form templates. It appears that a list form does not have this option in the properties of a file attachment control. A regular form library template has it, but it is sometimes disabled. It looks like it's Disabled for browser forms but enabled for Filler forms. To ... Posted to General (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: Disable submit button You just add conditional formatting that says, "If Field is equal to Value, then hide this control." That will hide the button when whatever field is equal to whatever value. The field and value are up to you. THere has to be something in the form that matches your logic so that the button knows when to disable ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: Disable submit button [quote user="shark59"] Thank you for your answer. What I actually have is a form with 3 buttons: Submit, Approve and Reject. On the initial load of the form I need to hide the Approve and Reject buttons. After Submit button is clicked the email is getting generated and the Submit button have to hidden. When the form gets to the 1st, 2nd ...
