• Re: Get Values from a Repeating Table nested inside a Repeating Section

How did you get a repeating table within a repeating section? I need to do that connected to the same data source and InfoPath is not allowing me to do that. See my question under controls section.

  • Re: submitting to a sql database

You do not necessarily need a web service. You can connect directly to the SQL table. And as long as that table has a unique ID, you can submit to that database. Just go to create a new form and select database as the option. The only web service I use is for AD authentication.

  • Repeating Table within a Repeating Section.

Been ages since I had to develop a new IP form and the brain has locked on what should be a simple question. Any help would be appreciated. I am developing an order form for supplies that may get shipped to multiple locations. I created a repeating section that is tied to a SQL table and collects event name, ship to address, etc. Repeating ...

  • Re: Querying two fields based on one request
Go to Data Connections - main connection, and 'edit SQL' - see if you can't figure out how to put a WHERE clause on it that looks at the values of both a1 and b1 and see if this allows you to accomplish - if not - I have my own approach using jScript. Can you use jScript?
The trouble as I see ...

  • Querying two fields based on one request

I have been mulling this over for about a week and can't seem to come up with a logical approach. I have ID#'s stored in two different fields in a SQL database; fields a1 and b1. Normally I would have a1 in the IP query box and that would search a1. A nice 1 for 1 relationship. But now I (actually my end users) would like one ...

  • Re: Importing data into a repeating table - question
have end users open the csv in Excel and copy the table into a table in InfoPath - columns and rows must match for this to work
This actually sounds like the most doable for my end users but not sure how it is done. It cant be as simple as copy and paste can it?

  • Importing data into a repeating table - question

I have developed an internal expense form that fits our organization and its needs. It uses a repeating table for the required fields with the data ultimately stored in a SQL table. One of the company credit card vendors provides the individual users with download cabability for their statement. Is there any practical way for an end user ...

  • Re: Trying to use a simple user role

Never mind. Sorry. I added a second user group of All Domain Users, changed the conditional formatting and it worked.

  • Trying to use a simple user role

I have a form developed without any code. I created a form user role named Admins and in that role are only three people. Then on a simple text field on the form I have set the conditional formatting as "Users current role not set to Admins", then Read Only. However, I am having a problem that anyone opening the form can type in ...
