Yes, that is a strange oddity that I've run into. The solution I've found for this is to not leave the other edges with no border, but to set them with a border set to the background color--typically white, but whatever it is. This makes those little hangover lines disappear.

What specifically are you encountering? InfoPath 2010 has made a lot of improvements in this area. But it mainly depends on what you are experiencing.

I'm not seeing this behavior in either InfoPath 2010 or 2007--at least not if I manually add options to a drop-down list. The extra spaces I type in are shown when I preview the form and open the drop-down.
Perhaps the changes are occuring when pulling down the data from SQL?

You need to add a validation rule to the field that says "fieldX" "does not match pattern" "Custom Pattern"... that pattern should be:
(\p{L}|\s)*
This pattern specifies zero-or-more letter or space character.

There's nothing in the designer UI that allows you to do this. However, you might try to export the source files and directly modify the view XSL file in a text editor to add the target="_blank" attribute to the hyperlink directly. My test showed that even after modifying the hyperlink in the designer UI, the manual change appears to ...

Ben, I'm not sure what is going on for you. I tried a little experiment:
1. Create a new blank InfoPath 2010 Filler form.
2. In the default layout table, insert 4 sets of 3 text boxes.
3. Leave the first set at 100% width, but set the width of the last 3 sets of 3 text boxes to 300 px. Make sure that each box is on it's own line.
4. ...

Hi. If you want to add a nice gradient and have text over the top of it, you'll
need to either A) include the text in the gradient image, or B) add the image as
a resource file, then export the source files of your template and modify the
XSL for your view to include the gradient images as a background to the table
cell (i.e. add to ...

Be sure to keep your terminology straight as it will help us respond. A hyperlink and a button are two different controls. You click both, but they are very different. Buttons do not have the same functionality as hyperlinks.
For your hyperlink--yes, the Data Source field allows you to use concat(). Make sure that you have a complete URL using ...

You say that this works fine so long as teh image is in the library but not in a folder.
Let's first assume that the folder is under "PictureLibrary". If that is the case, then this is a user-input issue. The user needs to not only enter the name of the image, but the folder. So instead of typing "picture1" they would ...
