Hi Nick,
First off, I would caution you from creating such a big "kitchen sink" form. You should consider breaking it up into separate forms that communicate with each other. That will reduce load time and make it easier to maintain down the road.
To answer your question, two things I can think of...typically, the rule will change to ...

Hi AndrewC,
Mel Balsamo details the approach to do what you want to do. There is a trick involved - you have to have two templates, but it will work just fine.
Read her blog post from May 2009 here: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/mel_balsamo/archive/2009/05/19/using-e-mail-forms-to-communicate-with-external-users.aspx
Best of luck,

Great question.
Yes, InfoPath is a better solution since it:Automatically updates the template when a new version is published - assumes they are using a form from a SharePoint form library.Provides the central form library for the data and you can map the data to SharePoint lists to export to Excel for search, aggregation and reporting.Looks ...

Well, first off, you could disable save and use a submit button instead and force the name to not have spaces... :)
If you can't use translate, how about substring and concat? Something like: concat(substring-before(../my:field1, " "), "%20", substring-after(../my:field1, " "))

You can definitely do this without code. However, you will need to promote a column to your SharePoint library for the year and month (1303) and then use that in a query filter to get the last submitted ID. Just query and filter for all those with 1303 and us a function of count(field)+1 command where field is the ...

Hmm. I would use conditional formatting to disable the Sub2 button if field is not equal to B and disables Sub1 if field = A or C. You'll have to click on the ADD on the formatting condition and make sure you change the dropdown from "and" to "or". But, should be pretty simple. Probably you are just missing something ...

Hi Jeeva,
Why are you using an Event Receiver? InfoPath supports validation in the form. Just add it to the form in the InfoPath designer. That's a better place anyway, since the user is in the process of adding data, so you catch them as soon as they tab out. You can create a section in the form that hides/shows the warning and prevents them ...

Cool, so that worked for you? :)

Yes, just go to Advanced Settings and change to manage content types. Then, publish the old form template (with modified UI) and new form template as content types and link to the library. You will need to promote properties from the template to site columns and map those into the form library. You may also need to relink the old XMLs so that ...
