Hi Hilary, i don't see any errors in the console, but i have attached screenshots of the HTML area of the rich text box in IE and in Firefox for you to compare. I'm sorry if that doesn't help, i'm not too familiar with coding. This is published to a SP 2013 server, but it is in our test environment, not in the production ...

If you open dev tools in IE (F12) do you see any errors in the console? Is this published to a SharePoint 2013 server, or SharePoint online? I can try to repro the issue.

Create a view called "Email". On the button that you are using for submit, change views to the new Email view, then send your email to the manager. Set up the email connection to just send the current view. I usually use a helper field for the link, and can try to find a sample for you tomorrow, but for right now, you could even just use ...

When the email recipient open the XML, it will open as long as they have access to the SharePoint list. I have enabled the sharepoint access to "Everyone" which should presumably ensure that anyone within our domain will be able to open the XML file.
Now, your statement about switching views prior to sending the email and just ...

Hi Hilary, yup i am able to paste in plain text boxes in IE, but nothing gets pasted in rich text boxes and i have 2 of them in my form. Yes, i can format text in the control in Chrome and Firefox.

What happens when the email recipient tries to open the XML? At any rate, I think the best thing to do is not to send an XML, but a link to the form instead. Since this is a browser form, you should be able to switch views prior to sending the email and just send the current view - allowing you to have an email view that includes things like the ...

Well, there goes that idea. :) No problem pasting into plain text areas on a form, just rich text? I had thought at one point Chrome and other modern browsers didn't support InfoPath browser form rich text controls (but it has been a while since I've looked at that) - you are able to use formatting in the control in Chrome / Firefox / etc?

Hi Hilary, the Compatibility View Settings for my IE has a check mark on "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View", and under the "Websites you've added to Compatibility View:" has the something.ca which is a part my SharePoint URL.

Thanks for the reply Hilary. What I have done is that I created a new form using the InfoPath SharePoint List option, and then I added a number of additional fields, customized the form and published it.
You are correct.. I am not really sending the form as an email. The User will get the link to the form. BUT after they fill it out and when ...

Based on your earlier post in this thread, it sounded like you already were changing the "employee" selection when the manager made theirs? But just don't care for the formatting? The suggestion I'm making would use the same conditional formatting on the dropdown control - just hide it instead of disabling it. Add a calculated ...
