Would 12 separate checkboxes not work for your purposes?

Great to hear that. :-)
I hope I can be of assistance again in the future.

In your form, is my:Steps the repeating group or is my:Step repeating (or both)? Could you post a screenshot of your data source taskpane with that part expanded?

Thank you for going to the trouble of uploading those videos. I do have the functionality working in your sample form and am attaching it here.
Could you post the formula you have in its current form? (make sure to check Edit XPath first)

If you expand the XPath for the formula, you'll see that you have ../my:HeaderRow inside the square brackets, but it should just be my:HeaderRow there. That will fix the issue where all the values are 1.

I don't know about Altova, but .NET does allow defining custom XPath functions for ...

Currently, there isn't a non-code way to exert control over how users add and remove rows to repeating sections.
One non-code technique you could use is to prevent the form from being submitted if it has blank rows, and display a message telling the user to delete or fill in any blank rows in the form.
Otherwise, to actually prevent adding ...

I only did 4 fields, but the technique works. Could you give this a try?
