I'd take the second option, personally. And yes, this will show a new version for each and that you (or whatever account the code runs under) updated each - and I don't think there is a way around that - I don't think Modified By can be overwritten, although you may want to check around on that - see if you can change it to not ...

nickwjm, you are my hero too. Form filenames was the problem for us, although instead of spaces being the problem, it was apostrophes.
(Interestingly, spaces are fine - we have lots of spaces in all our filenames)

Thanks - let us know what you learn. I've seen that my code sometimes gets saved to a temp file, but on close seems to write to the selected location - but hadn't tracked through that since most of my IP 2013 stuff at this point has been quick testing for bugs in existing forms.

I'm using InfoPath 2010 and a template that already contains custom code. I'm attempting to follow the instructions in this document. Everything is fine until instruction #3 on page 2, which says to "Right click on the Command field in the QdabraRules (Secondary) data source, and select Programming > Changed Event…. " Nothing ...

I want anonymous users to submit an infopath form to a library. So I thought of trying out what is said
here.
I configured the same way and the preview results in some error.
The submit section (xsf:submit element) in the form definition (.xsf) file contains an error.
The form definition (.xsf) file specifies that submit functionality ...

I realized it was tricky, I guess you might have to set several rules for this and change the formula according to the input in the field.
I was capturing first name and last name into same field and then if it was not in the format I wanted, I wanted to convert it into that format.
