• Re: How to convert an InfoPath form to an excel sheet

There's nothing out of the box in InfoPath to achieve this. I don't know whether there's a way to achieve this using custom code or a third party tool. If this is a SharePoint List Form (i.e. the form is submitting to a SharePoint list), then the users should be able to navigate to this SharePoint List and view the data in datasheet ...

  • Re: Autopopulate Infopath 2007 data to Sharepoint 3.0

I would like the user to type in a some information in a Infopath form (i.e. Name, Date, Product Needed). Once the user advances to the next form I would like the date the user inputted to automatically populate into a Sharepoint list that is already established. I hope that helps. Thank you.

  • Re: InfoPath data connections when migrating

If you're on InfoPath 2010, the Publishing Wizard (in the final screen) should ask you if you want the data connections to be modified to point to the new location. One very painful option might be to change the URLs by hacking the manifest files, but any small mistake could break the form.

  • Re: Need help with browser form

Hi Gus, I would suggest checking whether the ID fields are populated after the form is submitted and the data mapped to the list. You could temporarily display these IDs in the view. Then also check whether the ID fields still have a value when the form is reopened and the user makes changes. If the IDs are blank or at any point ...

  • Re: Populating a different values in calculated value fields

There's no condition for "when user edits field". Sadly, the rule would fire when another rule changes the field's contents or when the user manually changes the field's contents. You could add a checkbox whose default value makes the field in #4 read only. If the user wants to edit the value in #4, then they first have to ...

  • Re: Fields Unexpectedly Clearing

Hi- For the second scenario (filter using rules instead of the web service): If you have rules that try to filter and set values, you might need to look into using the formula current(). This allows the browser form to get the value from the current field; using dot (.) in the formula boxes often fails. For the web service scenario, ...

  • Re: Autopopulate Infopath 2007 data to Sharepoint 3.0

What type of form is this? The most basic scenario is: 1. Create the list and add the columns. 2. Click on Customize Form in the List and modify the view. 3. Save and Publish the form back to your list. If you don't want to use a SharePoint List form, please explain your scenario and we'll provide more advice. Thanks.

  • Re: How to use identity key in DBXL mapping?

I don't understand your question, so here's a quick overview. There are three main ways to map data from DBXL to SQL. (There may be others, but those are more complex and probably out of the realm of forum support.) 1. Map the DocID and make this the key (in the DAT mapping). 2. Add an autoincrement column in the SQL table and ...

  • UserProfileService Returning Farm Account.

This one is real weird. Trying to get the current user name. One form is returning the farm account. Created a new form using the same call, and it returns the correct user name. I've tried removing all the data sources from the form. Tried promoting the data connection to a data connection library. Tried calling ...

  • Re: linking fields in Info Path Designer

The easiest solution for this might be: 1. Add a Section and within this section place the attachment control. 2. Add formatting so the section is hidden if the checkbox is equal to No. 3. Make sure the default value of the checkbox is set to No. This means: when the form first opens, the checkbox is unchecked (equal to No) and the section ...
