InfoPath 2010 data connections to SharePoint lists include queryFields, which allow you to set up filtering before the data connection is executed. I'm not sure if this was covered in the master class. But anyway, once the queryField is set (that's your filter), you call the data connection, then you get the repeating data back in ...

Yes, you can create a content type mapping and use conditions to map the forms to different locations. There should be examples of conditional ShP mapping here and here.
Hope this helps!

I don't think this is really a DBXL or qRules issue - just form design, though I'm confused by the data structure. If the field only needs to appear (and be filled out) once, then why is it a part of the repeating section?
If you have 14 rows, hide the first 13 [using something like position() or preceding-sibling], then the first 13 ...

It seems fairly straight forward to add the cascading dropdowns, but I don't see how would I handle part 2 of the last step: based on their selections, either 1) provide them with some text (for self-service), or 2) provide them with a form to provide details that are sent via email.

Thanks for emailing your form. Your submit rules are in the wrong order - you are submitting to the library prior to submitting to the list. So - your XML is saved to the library. Then qRules populates the ID field.... but that doesn't get saved. :)

OK I did find a more recent post that seems to suggest it can be done, but even after reading it I'm still fuzzy on the syntax. I should also clarify that the tables originated in Access 2010 and were published to SharePoint.
Given: Table "Projects" and Table "Project ...

I'm using DBXL to submit repeating rows to a SQL table in database but I have one field in each row that needs only displayed once; a comment field to summarize the entire section or repeating table. Is there a way to suppress this filed in all rows except one, the last one, so that it appears this field appears only once ...

Hi,
With infopath 2010, we can detect and execute code on each view switch.
Sample : public void FormEvents_ViewSwitched(object sender, ViewSwitchedEventArgs e)
{
MessageBox.Show("Loading the view: " +
this.CurrentView.ViewInfo.Name);
}What I need is to execute the same code only when I leave specific views.Is ...
