I have made a new form with multiple types of control.
I entered my own value for drop down boxes and stuff.
I am wondering if I have to link all of my fields together to be able to submit this form to SharePoint?
If so, how do I accomplish this?
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Jo-Anne, I had already tried your tip but for the sake of making sure, I re-verified. For whatever reason, one signature is locking two others and I cannot figure out why. If allowed, I could upload the file to see if you could see something wrong and to verify my predicament.
Thanks
Best regards,
Mike

Do you only need to update a single item? You can do this with CAML and a submit data connection to the Lists web service. This blog pretty much covers the steps: http://sharepointknowledgebase.blogspot.com/2011/10/updating-sharepoint-list-by-using.html
However, you want to update an existing item, right? So you'll need:The ID of the item you ...

Actually, SharePoint stores the data as a decimal type. There are display options in a view to allow you to not display the decimals, but they are there.... And InfoPath is just brining back the data.
So - generally, if the decimals are making a mess for me, I use substring-before to get rid of everything before the "." if I am using ...

Create another column in your library i.e. Partner AD (set as a people/group).
Publish the display name field to your SharePoint list. i.e. FormPartner.
Then have a workflow run which sets your Partner AD to the value of your Form Partner.
Then in your view filter Partner AD by [me]

Well - wouldn't the code be similar? I don't really understand what the issue is. You are currently successfully copying data from one data source to another with your code? But you can't modify the code to copy to the main data source?

This is really probably a daft question, but why would a numeric field with no decimal places in a SharePoint list (read from data connection) import into a form with many numerical places?
So this in the list : 4
Becomes this in InfoPath 2007 : 4.00000000000000
In infopath the field is simply a text field, which is ...

Hello!
I recently took over a project consisting in maintaining InfoPath forms in a SharePoint 2007 environment. Forms open with client application, thus not browser-enabled. It turns out that most form templates are set on full-trust and the code signing certificate, issued by the company's CA, has expired. Thus, when I try to edit a form ...

I have to correct a part of my infopath issue.

The combo box doesn't have a way of knowing whether the data that has been filled out came via mouse selection in the combo box or whether the user typed the value in.
i.e. if my combo box has options 1, 2 and 3
I type in 2
Then I select the dropdown portion of the combo box, I'll see that the option for 2 is selected ...
