The rules I defined are on the fields tehemselves, so I cannot copy them. Somehow when using the button with all empty vallues the form gets sentright away and there an error is shows. In fact it should not really submit it untill all validations on the fields have been passed. How can I resolve this?

I have this same issue! It seems like no one has quite resolved his post, so I am hoping it will be picked up again.
I can keep the error from occuring by deleting the field in both infopath and on the SP list, and republishing. Then I make all other changes required and publish. Then I recreate the field/column in SP, add the ...

I'm attempting to follow along with Hilary's walkthrough on the use of the RefreshSharePointListtems command (http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/hilary/archive/2012/07/05/qrules-refreshsharepointlistitems-walkthrough-for-v4-2.aspx) but am having problems getting the owssrv.dll connection set up right. If I take the list GUID out of my known ...

If you really need XSLT 2.0, you may consider including Saxon in your InfoPath code project, although I can't say with any certainty what form trust level it would require.

Yes I am talking about the default widget of repeating sections. Can we write some code at the click event of the repeating section that adds row to set some variable and check the value of the variable to hide/show the control in the last column in my case.

Yes, it is possible. When filling out the Report Builder form, the Base Path needs to point to a repeating node in the form. Then, the fields to retrieve must use a path relative to that repeating node.
So if your base path is my:myFields/my:Customers/my:Customer (where my:Customer is repeating)
Then your fields could ...

[quote user="michielm"] OK, I see what you mean. But...if I do that it's possible to send the form without all my validation rules having been checked.....

Sorry, not sure what you mean. If a field is required, it will be required regardless of whether the form is submitted from the Ribbon, or from a Submit-type ...

What field did you select before clicking Filter Data? After Insert field or group, which field was selected for the filter you are adding?

I don't believe there's anything out of the box in InfoPath to allow you to do this. You would have to write custom code, or use a third party tool like qRules. Here's a previous discussion that might shed some light on how to do this using qRules.

Hope this helps!

Hi-
If you're talking about the default InfoPath widget that allows inserting new rows into repeating tables or sections, there's no functionality in InfoPath to add rules to that click. The only thing the click will do is to insert the row. Perhaps you could create conditional formatting (to hide/show controls) associated to ...
