Hi Jimmy,
- I'm using InfoPath 2010, I can see the Query fields when I'm creating the rules but I just haven't ever known how they worked and have historically always just used Data fields and filtered the results so that it only brings back the record I want to get the data from. I assume however that in the background ...

This can be done quite easily without code. Just add a rule to copy the value of your AccountName field to the AccountName field in the GetUserProfileByName data connection, and then query the data connection. Possibly a better solution is to save your attachments out to SharePoint to convert them to links, and then you would have the links in the body of your e-mail. This ...

Update: I have been researching around the web and although I still haven't found anything I've been able to transfer to my form yet I think I might be onto something.
I think the direction I need to go is setting up a Query field or something before I run the data connection. I was reading this page and it seems to indicate ...

Hi Patrick,
Yes. i am able to see all data ( more than 256 characters) on form but when we publish that column in library and save data, at that time it is not taking whole data.
it seems that, this is sharepoint/infopath limitation.I have googled much for this issue, but didnt find any solution for it.

I recommend a 3 character filter. That will no doubt filter it down significantly. Alphabet single character probably would too. Not a great solution but glad to hear that you are game.
