Without the form it is impossible to know for sure, so I'll give you an idea to troubleshoot the issue.
1. Open the form. Set the fields in such a way that the conditional formatting 'kicks in'.
2. Save the XML to your machine.
3. Submit the form.
4. Reopen the document and save the XML to your machine.
Then compare the XML pre ...

InfoPath 2007 allows you to query Sharepoint and obtain the entire list. Once that data "lives" in your form as a secondary data source, you can filter it as needed.
If you wish to filter on the server (for better performance) you'll need to write your own web service, or purchase one such as Qdabra's. Video demo here.

You are querying an XML list. There are two possible outcomes:

Could you check the event viewer for any errors or messages related to Qdabra? Hopefully, a message in event viewer will provide us with clues and information to solve the issue.
Thank you.

Hi Jimbo,

Hi Sam. Yes, qRules is only compatible with InfoPath 2007 forms.
-
qRules is intended for anyone who would like to leverage the power

The qRules command GetInputParameter returns the value of the key IF it exists. In
this tutorial, will use this command to push data from ...
