 Maybe I need more information on the types on controls and data you are trying to add up.  Yet in field3 why not set its default value to field1+field2 ?   I did a test where by all 3 fields: field1, field2 and field 3 were text fields. Field 3 equalled field1+field2

Wilkies, Thanks! My problem is that I have something like 400 fields with default values, many of which are in repeating sections. The logic inspector is handy, but it doesn't tell me which rule is erroring out. Perhaps I am using it incorrectly however... Just haven't been able to single out the issue with the logic inspector yet.

 Add a form status field to control views. Thus, reopening form = view 2 You could add a drop down that isn't connected to the data source? Or might be able to do a form load rule and filter (not sure if that's possible)  

Is there any way to identify the particular field that is throwing an error message? Can it be done without the trial-by-error method of changing and deleting things on copies of the template? Hi, i have one dropdown with options : Bank A Bank B Bank C and one multiselect list box which contains Bank A and Bank C. I want to display only Bank A in dropdowm when user opens the submitted form again. Data in drop down and in multiselect list box is coming from data connections. Any suggestion on this.
