I have the same issue at times reading techie solutions..! I'm one of those people who need to understand exactly what I'm doing and why rather than to follow some step by step process blindly. My way means I always end up getting my head around something and therefore I can apply that knowledge on future projects.

Yeah, I don't think you are going to be able to get what you want with just a query to the library - I'd not read closely enough to realize that you have repeating fields (I'm guessing?) in your XML that you want to return to another XML. The Merge feature in IP won't save the changes back to the original XMLs will it?

Ugh, I have been racking my brain for weeks! Finally, someone laid it out in a way that made sense to me!!! No offense to all the techies around here, but I don't yet understand a lot of the language that gets thrown around. My data connection time dropped from 4+ minutes to only a few seconds for each new item in my repeating ...

I am testing out adding cascading dropdowns to my Infopath 2010 forms. My team has not migrated to SharePoint 2010 so I am testing them to access SharePoint Lists in both SharePoint 2010 and 2007. I've gotten everything to work in SP2010. In SP2007 I am having an issue. If I try to open the form from a hyperlink in an email, I ...
