Hi MVP23,
SharePoint date formatting is based on SQL data types since that's how the data is stored. What I recommend is to add an additional text field to your repeating table that extracts the date in the format you want to display in SharePoint. This is a hidden field that gets set when the other field changes. You can use Qdabra's ...

Hey TexasTwo,
Make sure you aren't caching the secondary data source and that the XML data source is set up to be included in the XSN. You may need to add the XML as a resource. If the file is changing outside of the XSN, you can make it external and it will load on open if you have it checked. Probably just need to reconfig the data source. ...

Hi JakeG,
The data source isn't a performance issue - 700 fields is fine. More likely, it's your view. Performance is directly affected by hgow much stuff you display in your view. Hide stuff you don't need to show and the form will be faster.
You can map your XML data to a database. Qdabra Software - sponsor of this free forum - ...

Hi SCParker,
I'm guessing you are using SharePoint 2010 with InfoPath 2010 since submitting to a list is a new feature in 2010. You should check which version you have since the beta of 2010 did have bugs. RTM should be out in May. The other thing I would try is to create a form from a SharePoint list and then edit it in InfoPath. There are ...

Should be no difference. Probably has to do with the sample data you gave it when you set up the receive data connection. InfoPath builds return schema based on what the web service query returns and if it doesn't return anything, well, InfoPath doesn't dispay anything. Try to create a new data connection and specify values for the ...

Hi again,
Yes, DBXL is just a Web Service, so you can submit to it without having to store it in a form library. To reopen a form saved to DBXL, you will want to configure a data view on the database where you submitted it. There are various ways to do this and they are all documented on this site. Please let us know if you can't find the ...

Hi Marzipan,
Thanks for contacting us. You don't need QueryBuilder for to query SharePoint Web Services. My guess is that you're probably not specifying values in the Sample Data dialog that have data associated with them. InfoPath builds return schema based on what the web service query returns and if it doesn't return ...

Are you including this secondary data source (BusinessEntitiesDB.xml) in your XSN? If so, just use the InfoPath filter option to filter and don't bother with complex XSLT since that will likely require code. If you aren't including it and it isn't too large, you can load at runtime as a resource and still use the default ...

Why can't you just enable archiving for a form library and display the forms (which will always be the latest) in the default view?
