Yes, you need to move the data into SQL DB. For a fast and inexpensive Web Service solution that works with any form template (schema agnostic), check out Qdabra's DBXL Web Service. Qdabra pays for this free forum.

Hi MPDuval,
Yes, this is one of the most common requests that we solved many years ago. Qdabra's qRules v2.1 does this for files and/or images stored on SharePoint and in a SQL database (link), but seems like it doesn't support just a file server. That's silly. We'll need to look at fixing that in v2.2. Qdabra pays for this free ...

Hi ASM,
Your query needs to return multiple values when you configure the data connection so that InfoPath can correctly infer the schema as a repeating section. That should solve your problem. Go into Tools->Data Connections and modify the existing query. Make sure that the sample values results in *multiple return values* and then the ...

Hi Flanker,
It's way more complicated than a plain submit because of the update possibilities. In other words, the submit includes a diff gram telling how to update. Your managed code has no clue how to do that since it isn't keeping track of update changes and that's probably why it fails.

This is one of the limitations of multiple sites on SharePoint and publishing separately to each one. You can use a content type and then just update the one version but you'll still have to change the sites to use that content type. Should be easier going forward though. However, if you are hard-coding the submit location, the single ...

Hi TexasTwo,
Which Matt F demo are you referring to? The one where he shows how to map a form to a SharePoint list? If so, that's an old one. Nowadays, we recommend people save time and look at qRules which supports data-driven mapping of XML to SharePoint lists. It's very easy to change it after the fact and no code is required (well, ...

Hi Jamir,
This is a very advanced questions for your first post! :) Doing reconciliation of offline forms is tricky because you have to deal with scenarios where the form was changed from other people.
You can use File-Save and File-SaveAs to support offline saves. The forms should have a submit button and ideally some logic that detects ...

Hi again,
Database support is included in qRules but assumes Qdabra's DBXL Web Service exists. Here's another link of an XTP we provide for people that use qRules to upload images to SharePoint or DBXL: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/QdImagePicker.aspx
We could easily add HTTP file system support for you if you're interested. How ...

Looks like this is using an ADO query. It's possible that ADO is not installed on Windows 7. I recommend we replace the old ADO query with a more up-to-date XML query. That will resolve the issue, but you could also look to see if ADO related components are missing.
