I hear issues about this sort of thing from time to time from clients.
We do have this forum post on the site that discusses why this may be happening: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/11876.aspx
I am guessing that the link to open the form form your version history is similiar to opening the form from a SharePoint workflow task thus ...

Hi Joe,
Have you looked around on the web on how you need to go about doing this?
For example here:
http://weblogs.asp.net/bsimser/archive/2006/09/25/Enabling-anonymous-access-in-SharePoint-2007.aspx
Enabling anonymous access needs to be done at the farm level I think, not per library.

Hi Suhail,
Have you seen our qRules product? We have this feature as one of our commands ("SaveToSharePoint") and it works great. It works in either browser or client InfoPath forms, 2007 and 2010

You probably will pay for the cost of the software once you use this in a single ...

Yes, the builtin Surveys in MOSS (2007 & 2010) aren't really that great. It's better in 2010 because you can use InfoPath to customize the survey (which is actually pretty nice) but in the end most surveys are too complex for the cookie cutter approach with the built in surveys.
In InfoPath you should be able to query the entire ...

My first guess would be that the data type in your InfoPath form or SharePoint library are text or string fields which Excel doesn't like to filter on very easily.
Have you tried changing the data type in SharePoint and or InfoPath to see if that helps?

Hi Michael,
Since they are using a browser enabled form the only way to get the InfoPath data into SQL is to use a web service.
You could write your own web service or you could look at our product called "DBXL" which is a generic web service that will get the InfoPath data into SQL very quickly and without writing any code. I am ...

Have you read this forum post with some guidance on ways to troubleshoot this issue?
http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/540/2234.aspx#2234
Hope that helps, there are issues that cause the flickering and some ways to reduce it.

That is a very big form, with 150 views and 3.5 MB I am not surprised it is taking some time to open, even without a lot of on load data connections - the fact is that the form is probably rending a lot of stuff which is what is taking time.
You might want to look at adding "expand/collapse" sections to show/hide data and by default ...

Hi,
What version of InfoPath and SharePoint are you using? 2007 or 2010?
InfoPath does support a great feature called "User Roles" which might be easier to use to manage what you want to do. (see this article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath-help/about-specifying-user-roles-for-forms-HP001106605.aspx)
Managing this in ...

Hi,
You can do this using user roles in InfoPath without code.
If you are using SharePoint 2007 you can do this in the InfoPath client via "User Roles" (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath-help/about-specifying-user-roles-for-forms-HP001106605.aspx)
If you are using SharePoint 2007 user roles don't work in browser based ...
