I am pulling data from a multiple-line field of another list into a caculated value display.
It works but the line breaks are lost.
Is there a way to force it to retain the line breaks?

Hi Hilary,
As I posted before, I have three views that just in third one user can select to duplicate data. Moreover, in report view, Manager can see what happen in three views for all days in a month. After that he/she can go to “Edit page view” and edit data and submit / refuse users requests.

You should try qRules - free trial here: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/download/qRulesTrial.aspx
Then you won't have to write custom code - it has a SaveToPath command that could be used for this.

The only way I know to do this would be to use code - and that is going to require your form be full trust, I'd think, since code that writes to the file system in InfoPath is only allowed in full trust forms.

In the form data sources, find the QdabraRules data source. Drag it onto your form and preview. Type a simple command in the Command field - like GenerateGuid - and tab out. The command field should clear and you should have a GUID in the result field.
