• Re: switching view on form load

Are the "circumstances" you mention something you can check using a rule condition? If so, just set a Form Load rule (in the form options) to switch to a different view under certain conditions.

  • Re: How do I, or how can I use relative addressing in InfoPath

I'm not really sure what you mean by "I want InfoPath to look at other forms in the directory it is inserted into," If you have Visual Studio, you can publish an InfoPath form as an installable template (.msi). A user runs the MSI, specifies the installation directory, and then the template can be opened from that ...

  • Re: How can people without InfoPath fill in a form (without webserver)

"XML techlnology" doesn't mean a lot on its own. It's XML extensions like the ones implemented in InfoPath, and other programs that utilize XML that give it meaning and bring it to life. Firefox and other browsers can take an XML file and an XSLT file and produce some HTML (and JavaScript), but it can't come ...

  • Re: Request Failed Infopath Form

As the posts above yours indicate, this is an issue when using InfoPath with .NET 3.5 and the only known workarounds at the moment are to downgrade to .NET 2.0 or make the form full trust.

  • Re: Autopopulate Static Fields after a Drop Down Selection

Hello again, Glad everything went off without a hitch. Using ResponseEntity in the dropdown box should be fine as long as the values are unique (and it appears they are). You could also choose to use ResponseEntity as the Display field for the dropdown box, and Code as the Value field, which would allow you to keep the rest of ...

  • Re: text direction

I believe thoness is talking about typing from right to left, the way it's done in languages such as Arabic and Hebrew, am I correct? I don't know anything about any right-to-left language, but if I set my keyboard mode to Hebrew or Arabic (I'm using Windows Vista) and type in an InfoPath textbox, the characters to appear from right ...

  • Re: Populating a dropdown list from a query

There's no need for values to be in a repeating table in order to use them to populate a dropdown box. Could you please post a simple tree diagram, like: myFields group (repeating) date describing the data source from which you will be taking the dates, and perhaps a screenshot of ...

  • Re: Autopopulate Static Fields after a Drop Down Selection

Ok, thank you. Please try these steps: Right-click a field whose value you want to auto-populate (e.g., the textbox to the bottom left of "Response entity") and choose Properties Click the fx icon in the Default Value section Click Insert Field or Group... and select the corresponding field in your secondary data ...
