    text direction

Is there a way to change the text direction in a cell on InfoPath 2007?  I've gone through all the formatting options and don't see and a brief Google search and a search on these forums didn't come up with any hits.  Is it not possible?

    Hi

What do you  mean by change text direction in a cell? is it alignment of text in a cell?

if it so follow the below steps:

    1.Open infopath in design mode
2.Go to text box properties window
    3.Select 'Display' tab
4.In Alignment dropdown, you have different options(like left, right ...) for aligning a text in a cell
    5.click Ok

I believe thoness is talking about typing from right to left, the way it's done in languages such as Arabic and Hebrew, am I correct?

I don't know anything about any right-to-left language, but if I set my keyboard mode to Hebrew or Arabic (I'm using Windows Vista) and type in an InfoPath textbox, the characters to appear from right to left, and if I set the textbox to be right-aligned, the start of the text is flush with the right of the box.

    Would that be sufficient?

Sorry I wasn't more clear.  I wanted to have the text sit vertical in a cell.

    Hi,

There is no option to sit the text in vertical format. One way is set the cell size (by setting the column width in table properties) very small as it fits only one character. So that you can see the text in vertical format.

You can set an expression box to have its text vertical.  There don't seem to be any options for the orientation of the characters,  only 90 degrees clockwise, but that might be enough for what you want.
