• Re: XPath and Date Comparisons

Hi Pinback, We've had so many questions about dates that we finally decided to add a Date Diff function to qRules v2.2 (also now includes Format Date). You can add qRules to forms which already have code too: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/qrules/entry56111.aspx. Qdabra pays for this free forum and one way we defray the cost ...

Have you looked at UDCX data connections?

  • Re: Count specific dates in a list don't work

Hi Mike, You don't need code to do this. You can use xpath (InfoPath's macro language) and the eval command. Microsoft's InfoPath blog had an article about 2 years ago on the eval(eval(....)) method. It's pretty cool and we even have it in one of our InfoPath training labs. Send me email if you can't google it. Best of ...

  • Re: Submit form during OnLoad Event

Hi Svetoslav, You could set a value and add a rule on the value to save your form. But, please just try it as you have it. If it works, great! If not, please send us email with your results. Good luck!

  • Re: QUERY VIEW****Please Help

Hi Bsembhi, I'm sorry, but we don't recommend database forms and I have no idea why yours doesn't migrate. We can debug your form for a small fee and unblock you, but we'll need to have you attach the form to an email and purchase an InfoPath Detailing package. Sorry I can't be more help,

  • Re: Infopath Filler 2010 & Sharepoint Foundation

Hi Basquiat, Thanks for the insightful quesitons. Unfortunately, the filler is not free. It should be, but it isn't. Complain to Microsoft. If you have InfoPath rich client, you can save them in a document library in Foundation Library. That will work. No need to buy a server unless you want to view the forms in the browser. Hope that ...

  • Re: Is Infopath right for me?

Hi Jeff Matthews and thanks for the unique question! If they don't have InfoPath on the client and you can't use browser-based forms ala SharePoint (since offline isn't supported), then you will need to use a different technology. We have a tool that takes an InfoPath form template and renders it in the browser and it doesn't use ...

  • Re: Setting form name for printing as PDF

To be honest, I would like to know the answer to your question as well but I want a codeless solution. Using code, anything is possible. We set the form name today on load and that actually maps through to the PDF utility that we use. I'm thinking we need to add some rule to our qRules library that just sets the form name. Send me a private ...

Is it a browser based form? If so, shouldn't you be using a UDCX?

  • Re: Search Infopath Forms Stored in SQL DB

Hi RS, Yes, DBXL supports searching forms. Here's a document you may find helpful: Installing and configuring DBXL's search web part: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/sharepoint/entry33870.aspx In addition, we plan to document the SearchEx Web method in DBXL and search using BDC web parts in the near future. Stay tuned! :)
