Hi Everyone, I cannot tell you how glad this forum exists. I’ve got an issue and it’s probably been asked before but I cannot find a good representation of it when I search. I have a expense request form that deals with mileage. I have a SPList that stores Begin_Date, End_Date and ... Get the Department code. Populate that into your Cost Code query then it will only return the values that exist with that Department code. I would only have the datasource for Sponsored department run when the form opens. Start the query for ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by bigbarryc on 03-18-2014 Re: Help needed creating a filtered dropdown Okay, I am confused at this point. Let's use the Sponsored Department lookup as the first example. If I have it returning the ID, then I have no idea how I am going to get the value that I need in the Cost Code control - because it needs the Department Code value of the row that was selected in the Sponsored Department lookup. The secondary data source "New_Employee_Form" is a 'preview' XML file from another form - I looked in that file and don't see the datatype being specified anywhere. I did edit that preview file like the Youtube video showed and made sure it pointed to the actual template file ... So the issue here is not really on the submit part, but rather copying data from one repeating table to another, is this correct? If so, here is an MSDN link which discusses how to copy repeating data using code. Or you may want to use qRules if you wish for a codeless approach. Hope this helps.
