I thought relink worked but I probably got it wrong. You'd think I would remember that given that I wrote the feature when at Microsoft back in 2002. OK, relink just changes the href. Got it. Well, try re-uploading using the Web Explorer view. That ought to work.

Relink option was moved to Relink View and then Relink All in 2010 (great that they added the Relink All) . You can use check-in/check-out in 2010 to refresh promoted properties.
In addition, there are tools, like DBXL's Doc Deployer that you can use to batch resave. DBXL trial is free and Doc Deployer can be used to batch re-upload ...

Hi Desmo and thanks for the positive comments! :)
You have discovered one of the limits of Database bound forms - the default functionality of the database binding overrides some of the functionality of InfoPath. If you had instead started from a Blank form and added XML fields to your schema (instead of binding to a Database), you could easily ...

IE supports XML and there are options to read the XML in the browser but it's not out-of-the-box. Editing forms requires SharePoint or another third party application.

Hi Airflight89,
This is an old post. We have a much easier way for you to add InfoPath fields to SharePoint Lists - it's called qRules. Check it out - it's a free download (link in ad at bottom). Send us a testimonial if you like it and we'll give you a coupon for a discount off of the already inexpensive list price. No code required ...

XTPs don't support code. They support view, rules, schema, and data connections but not code. You can pre-populate users without code.

InfoPath has a feature called Merge Forms that let's you import and aggregate forms in the rich client. To do so automatically behind the scenes you could use a workflow and write a bunch of code but it would be a one-off solution for that schema. To do so without code, I recommend creating a new form called "Merged Forms" which ...

Right click the dropdown and choose dropdown properties. You'll see a display name entry under the main entry. Click the funny looking button to the left. Select Title or whatever field is next to ID.
Hopefully that fixes it.

Use XML Template Parts (XTPs) to increase consistency and reduce time to create forms
Use Universal Data Connection (UDCs) to define data connections that you reference in your XTPs
Make sure repeating groups always have a ...

Hi Igor,
Yeah, it's a piece of cake to do this. Here are the steps:
Download the free trial of Qdabra's DBXL (for one time mapping, you don't need to purchase the product)
Install it on a computer that has IIS and has access to your DB
Add your XSN to the Qdabra DBXL DAT tool
Use DAT to create a mapping between your XML ...
