Hello. I am struggling for a solution to my problem. I am trying to put a People Picker control on my InfoPath 2010 form that has a default value pre-populated into the control. I have a database query that pulls in the name of the manager for a specific project. I would like a people picker to automatically default to the name of the manager ...

I have a SharePoint list A with a choice column called Counties of all the counties of a state. I also have setup a another SharePoint list B that has thousands of address items which include address1, address2, city, state ...

Thank you Hilary. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. It looks like you are the InfoPath guru on this site. I will give this some thought tonight, and back at it in the AM. WHEELS

Your correct Hilary. I did mean a dialog. I have multiple forms (content-types) in a library. The user can open which ever form they want and fill it out. However, I preferr it opens in a dialog rather in the same browser window. I will give this a try. Thanks.

Okay - so the setting I am talking about for multiple items is only used if the form is a SharePoint List form. If you are using IP 2007, I don't think you can design ShP List forms with that, so your form is probably not a list form.

Thank you Hilary. I don't have a great deal of prowess with Sharepoint (more than InfoPath). How can I can promote repeating data as merged, and where do I go to set the multiple items setting?

Hi - when you submit an InfoPath form to a form library, you'll only see one row in the library per XML. You can promote repeating data as merged. If your form is a list form (bound to a SharePoint list) you can set it up to manage multiple items, but you won't be able to add any repeating tables outside of the one used for the main submit.

No matter what I do, an InfoPath view that has since been deleted is displayed in the InfoPath Web Part.
I've selected my desired Display view as default in InfoPath:
I've selected it in the web part:
But still the wrong view is display. Any advice?
Thank you! Joni

We have an Infopath Browser List form that works 80% of the time. When someone uses the address book of a contact selector and pulls in a user, the screen flashes and the value disappears. This is across the board and doesnt seem to be clear what is triggering.
I saw that Contact Selector doesnt have a postback option. This contact ...

Good afternoon.
I have been having trouble with a repeating section and within that section there is data that writes to a Sharepoint list, and another that is a repeating table which has fields bound to a separte group which is not written to the Sharepoint list.
It appears the repeating section can only be bound to one group, and the section ...
