All,
I've adapted the following to get the current's users manger's preferred (FullName) into a people picker on a form load. I seem to have been around the houses to get the Manager Full Name and not the account name into the people picker..
i.e. 2 getuserprofilebyname data connections, multiple rules on several ...

Hi D,
Upon reviewing your formula, I can see that a period (.) is used instead of a comma (,), which is why you are receiving this error. Hope this helps.

Hi,
For some reason, when I view the different versions in SharePoint Version History, I see that the values of some fields (not all of them) have not been recorded (blank). The fields are mandatory so the user could not have left them blank, so there must be something else.
Any ideas anyone?

Hi Lamine,
Thank you for clarifying your issue. To my understanding, if the data connection will only return one value (meaning only one choice for the drop down list), you would like to set that as the default value, is that correct?, If so, then you would need to add a rule that sets the drop down list to the specific value returned using ...

Hi Mike,
Thank you for that. I'm now seeing what the issue here is. For some reason, the GetUserProfile method will return this error for accounts that that do not match or have no permissions. Perhaps you would need to use another method for checking the accounts. After a quick check, I was able to find a thread in MSDN for ...

If I take out the Get Count rule, if still errors at the Execute ...

Hi,
If you're familiar with Qdabra's tool called qRules, one of its growing list of useful commands is called QueryData. This allows you to query a web service data connection and specify the timeout duration in seconds. The command syntax would be in the format QueryData /dsname=MyDataConnectionName /timeout=120.
Feel free to check it ...

Hi Joel,
Unfortunately, InfoPath is required for all computers if you are working with Filler Forms. What I would recommend is publishing the forms to SharePoint so users can access and open these forms via Internet Explorer. If by any chance you'll encounter issues with sending email via browser forms, I would also ...

Hi Mike,
The logic seems right so I'm not sure what's causing the problem. Do you by any chance have other query related actions to the current user which should only run if there is a returned value for the userName()? If so then you should disable these rules from running by adding a Number of occurrences type of condition.
