What this does is make your form look for corresponding data fields from the workflow. So what happens is, the first time the form is opened, ItemMetadata won't find anything to map so the fields will be blank. But any future time you open the form, it will fill the values in if ... Posted to Workflow (Forum) by j0hnglist on 01-16-2009 Task Items in Sharepoint have stopped linking correctly to their Infopath Forms. Something odd has been happening lately on my Sharepoint site that I can't figure out because it used to work the way I expected. Tasks created by a workflow in Sharepoint do not link to their corresponding InfoPath Forms like they used to. Clicking on the task takes me to the detail view of the Task item, rather than the ... I don't know how you would achieve what you want without a workflow. I would go with a state machine workflow and have it trigger everytime a new form library item is created. then you can easily transfer data between the 2 Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by j0hnglist on 01-16-2009 Re: Error when clicking on the Design Checker ........ I am using Infopath Task Forms with Workflows and MOSS. In my workflow code, I routinely set values of an InfoPath TaskForm with values passed from another Infopath Task Form using TaskProperies.ExtendedProperties. My problem though is that somehow this method doesn't work when trying to retrieve values from a Sharepoint document ... Posted to General (Forum) by j0hnglist on 08-01-2008 Re: Drop down list to fill nested repeated tables the way i would accomplish this is dynamically get the questions from your database based on the value of the dropdown. you would add a web service call on a rule that gets triggered by the dropdown value change. The webservice would have an input parameter that gets the value of the current dropdown item. hope this helps.
