InfoPath Dev

I extracted the template.xsn and updated the view1.xsl file. After that, I repack the .xsn file and upload to the directory on sharepoint. When I create a new form in the form library, the browser downloads the template.xsn file rather than openning the form in web page. Why?

 I then go to the adv setting page and edit the template, the InfoPath Designer Client prompts me with the following

"The form template has been published to one location and has been saved or modified to different location. To ensure the form based on the templates work correctly, publish the template again."  How does the server know the form was changed? Does it check the last modified time? How to skip this check? I want to modify the template without the InfoPath Designer.

After modifying the template.xsn, save it and publish it again.

Verify that "broser enabled option" is checked in the template, Tools-->forms options. And Republish the form to your sharepoint folder.

I am guessing the template prob needs to be activated to your site collection in your SP Central Admin site.  Thats what I had to do get my non-workflow associated forms to work in SP

 Thank you but do i have an option rather than manually publish the template using InfoPath wizard? I want to avoid that
