• Re: Checking if connected to a specific Domain

Thanks for the reply Agni, however I wanted to get the domain without going through a webservice (Which I believe requires security Level 2), or requiring the form to be fully trusted. I thought there may have been a way, like there is for: * User.IsCurrentUser * User.IsUserMemberOf which both can be run on Security Level 0. However, I thank ...

  • Checking if connected to a specific Domain

Is there a way in InfoPath to check if you are connected to a given domain. I know that there is a way to get a true/false value if a given user is specified. I also know that there is a way to get if the member is part of a certain group within the domain. However, I have not figured out a way to check if the user is part of a given domain. I ...

  • Re: Reading a data connection with a compressed file

Hi Patrick, Does your solution rely on inserting the XML file into the XSN? If it does, then it probably won't be the best solution for my situation, as I'd have to run a script of some sort to insert the XML document into the XSN. This probably would cause more problems than it solves. However, as always thanks for the reply. - Reg

  • Reading a data connection with a compressed file

Hi, Is it possible to have a compressed XML or database file, which Infopath could use as a data connection. I know that if you add an XML file as part of the XSN file, it would automatically become compressed. However, if I want to use an XML file for multiple forms, then I'd have to place the XML file outside of the XSN. XML files and Access ...

  • Re: Displaying a section multiple times

Thanks for the reply Patrick, It took me a while to work out how the minOccurs works, but I understand it now. I edited the schema, but got an error ''x-soln://... 'minOccurs' > 'maxOccurs'.'' I later realised that once I had made the change in the ''myschema.xsd'' file, I had to go into design mode and make a small change, eg: add a space, ...

  • Re: Displaying a section multiple times

Thanks for the quick reply franck, but the problem with copying a section, is that when I need to make changes at a later stage, I'd have to make the changes across all the sections that were made. I'd rather be able to make the ammendments once, and let them flow through to all the sections.

  • Displaying a section multiple times

Is it possible to display a section a number of times on a view? For example, I have a section I need to be displayed 3 times, but in design mode I want to make changes to the section once, and when the end user runs the form, it will show the 3 sections. This might be possible if I use a repeating section and predetermine the amount of entries ...

  • Overriding the Default Save Location

Hi, When loading a form from a saved XML, I want the user to start the default save location from the My Documents. I know this is the default behaviour when loading an XSN, but I also want this occur when loading an XML. By default, when I load an XML from the hard drive, or a submitted e-mail, it defaults the save location to where the XML was ...

  • Re: Single cache for multiple users

Hi Patrick, This was a follow on from my last problem. http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=802 Before I was trying to allow a user to open a form quickly. This time I am trying to minimize the download time, and promote some kind of sharing. (Answer to your question) The forms loads fast after the first time it's downloaded ...

  • Single cache for multiple users

Is it possible to have one cache for all users that log into the computer. From my experience a cache is created for every user, and for every machine they log in to. Thus, if there are 8 machines, and 10 users, there could be up to 80 different caches created for a single form. I would like to know if all users on a machine could use the same ...
