  • Re: Gets very slow when the number of views exceeds 12

Another crash. I built a form that has a lot of views and has buttons at the top to aid with navigation. I'm pretty sure the bug is with the buttons. My forms started crashing giving me an error....form cannot open due to corrupted .xsf file. When I hit ''show details'' it gave me an error that ''rule_132 cannot find table def. The reason I ...

  • Re: select data by check box and copy it to a list

That's great. I never thought of that. I'll give it a try. Thanks a lot. That's a big help. Larry Kropp

  • Gets very slow when the number of views exceeds 12

I wish I had more diagnostic information, but I'm building a medical records form, and it continues to crash and/or get really slow after I reach about 12 different views. I do have some programmed buttons and other controls, but I can't see why this keeps happening. Very vague, I know, but I thought maybe someone else would have an ...

  • select data by check box and copy it to a list

I think this is possible, but I can't crack it. I want to have a view of nothing but diagnoses listed in a table where each line has a checkbox or some other selector. When I check the box, I want that selected diagnosis to be copied to my main form to a simple [short] list. I tried to use a rule to do this, but I can't get this function to ...

  • tabbed view

We really need a tabbed page view. That would really make INFO path simulate a full database structure. They already have this in onenote, and it they could do the same kind of think in infopath it would be amazing. The scroll down pages and print preview are ancient. Larry Kropp M.D. Larry

  • placing controls in footers

Is there any way to place a control into a header or footer. I need to place a copy of a text box on each page of a form that has many optional sections. I can't tell where the page is going to break, and therefore would like to put the text box into a footer....? Thanks. Larry

  • tabbed view

What info path really needs is to add a ''tabbed'' view like ONE NOTE has. For long forms, it's really difficult to just print certain pages, especailly since you have to be in Print Preview mode to even see what page number you want. A tabbled view would put folder tabs at the top that are easily selected and would orgainize the form more like ...

  • Faxing - the holy grail.

I'm trying have INFOPATH automatically fax a form and pull the fax number from a data field. That way you don't have to go through the MS fax wizard, which kills any kind of automation. I know that this can be done since I keep hearing rumors. Anyone have a source on this? This is the holy grail of medical records and no software out there ...

  • Re: Master/Detail link to outside XML document

Thanks for the reply Agni. I was beginning to suspect that was going to be the answer. The help files do mention doing this exact same thing between an XML document and a database like MSACCESS. It seems that they should make it work with other XML documents as well. Larry Kropp M.D.

  • Master/Detail link to outside XML document

I'm so close, but I can't get this to work. Here's the setup. 1. One form has a table with 5 columns of client information. 2. On Another form the main form), I want to select the client's name, and then pull from the table in the remote document the other four fields....master/detail, but across xml documents. I can't seem to get a master in ...
