  • Re: Clearing the current form

    Patrick, Thanks, that makes more sense, but it still does'nt clear the fields. Although it took care of the error message. The resulting effect is that the entire form is highlighted, but the data remains.

  • Re: Clearing the current form

    Hi Patrick, Thanks for you reply Yes That is what I'd like to do, but I'm new to jscript. There is data from two tables on the form, and I was hoping there was a simple way without having to clear each field individually. I tried the code below, tho it didn't seem right, hoping the error msg would give more clues: var objXMLNode; objXMLNode = ...

  • Clearing the current form

    I have a button on my form to switch views with code behind it per below: XDocument.View.SwitchView(''RequestInput''); When you click the button, the fields are prepopulated with data from the previous query, this is fine for most cases, but for this particular button I want the user to be able to access a view where they can input a new record. ...

  • Re: Repeating Table Event Handler

    Thanks to Agni, this now works, function msoxd_d_lkpComments::OnBeforeChange(eventObj) { var oNetwork = new ActiveXObject(''WScript.Network''); var strUserName = oNetwork.UserName; if (eventObj.Operation == ''Delete'' && eventObj.Site == eventObj.Source && eventObj.NewValue == null && strUserName != ...

  • Re: Repeating Table Event Handler

    Agni, Thanks for your help. I corrected the code as you suggested, The problem now is that my test for strUserName == DataDOMEvent.Source.selectSingleNode(''@CommentBy'').text always results in True. That is if the current UserName appears even once in the @CommentBy field in the repeating table, then he can delete any repeating table entry. My ...

  • Re: Repeating Table Event Handler

    Thanks for your reply Agni, If I understand correctly, I should replace the full path statement I am currently using: XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:tblRequests/lkpComments/@CommentBy'').text) with: XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(DataDOMEvent.Source, ''@CommentBy'').text ...but when I do this I get an error ...

  • Re: Compare main field to any repeating secondary fiel

    I experienced the same scenario. I think that all it takes is for one secondary data occurance to be unequal to the main source data for the test to fail.

  • Repeating Table Event Handler

    I have a form based on an Access database. The database has a main table (called tblRequests) to which users can submit data. The main table has a one to many with a second table (repeating table called lkpComments). On my form I show one record from the main table, and many records (comments) from the second table). Users can add comments at ...

  • Connecting to Secure Access Database

    I have an InfoPath form that is accessed on SharePoint and it communicates with an Access mdb on another server. My question concerns how you go about securing the access database such that InfoPath will still be able to communicate with it. What I want is to set up a new access workgroup file (.mdw) with groups of users and associated ...
