• Insert with Northwind SharePoint lists

Hi, using qRules 4.2. I have a data structure similar to the Northwind sample in Hilary's walkthrough of 4.2 new features here: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/hilary/archive/2012/05/30/qrules-submittosharepointlist-walkthrough-for-v4-2.aspx . My data is in SharePoint lists, not in XML files. I basically have a two-tier hierarchy, ...

  • Re: Looking for basic add/change/delete examples

Hello, Out of the box, InfoPath forms can only be used to submit forms to forms libraries, as maktienzo has described. This will create an XML file in the Library. To manipulate List data, you need code. If you don't want to write that code yourself, you can use qRules from Qdabra. This forum has lots of information about that. ...

  • Re: Error installing qRules on Win7 Pro

Hi Ernesto, thanks for your quick reaction. I thought that it had to be something on my setup, because I've seen Patrick using qRules in Win7 during the Master Class. OK, I've followed your suggestion. I think in my case the culprit might be that I have Office 2010 and Office 2013 installed side by side. I checked the ...

  • Re: "Blankem" in qRules injected form

Thanks, Jimmy, that sounds like a valid explanation, although I do not have enough Xpath know how to really get the details. I'll try your suggestion after the weekend, when I'm back at my work SP environment. cheers, Ingeborg

  • Error installing qRules on Win7 Pro

Hello, I've been issued a new computer with Win 7 Pro and am trying to install qRules. • Re: Trouble registering forms from install.js

Hello, I'm running into the same issue. The install.js fails and the mapping tool cannot be accessed. Does that mean qRules does not work with Win 7??? Is there a workaround? cheers, Ingeborg

    Hello,
Can I do this without writing code ?
Yes and no. No: You cannot do this with InfoPath out of the box. You need to use code to write InfoPath form data to a SharePoint list.Yes: Someone has already written the code to do this (and much more) with InfoPath. It's a package including ...

  • "Blankem" in qRules injected form

Hello, just out of interest, not time critical and not urgent. I have a browser-enabed qRules injected form and over the course of a week I added functionality with several qRules commands, e.g. SubmitToSharePointList, submitting to multiple SP Lists after following Hilary's excellent blogs, AddAttachment, CopyTable. I'm really getting ...
