I put a rule on a hidden field on the table and specified when table brand = company brand, set the value! Perfect! Thanks so much Hilary! - Helen Posted to Controls (Forum) by HelenW on 03-11-2013 Update field in one row only of a repeating table I'm banging my head against the wall here; I can't seem to get this to work. I have a repeating table that I'm using to calculate costs of items. The first row contains my company's item, the subsequent rows contain competitors items. Each row has a brand name entered and the first row is always my company's ... Posted to Controls (Forum) by HelenW on 03-11-2013 Data Connection needs to be refreshed multiple times before showing current data Hi, I have an odd problem with my forms. The forms are created using InfoPath 2007 and connect to SharePoint 2007. In my forms, I have many secondary data connections that connect to SharePoint lists (not the library to which the forms are submitted, but other libraries). When I open my forms, the data connection has to be ... Once I turned that on, it appears that my users are no longer getting the error message. Now that I've fixed it, it ... We have 800 users and I've only gotten reports from about 6 people. Why are these 6 - in the same group as the other 794 - getting the error message? The permissions are standard out of the box - nothing unique about them. We also had ... Posted to Web Services (Forum) by HelenW on 06-19-2012 A small subset of users unable to connect to userGroup.asmx GetUserCollectionFromGroup I have an InfoPath 2007 client form that currently has about 800 users. in this form, I have a data connection to the userGroup.asmx web service using the operation GetUserCollectionFromGroup. This web service is used to set permissions on certain sections of the form that are not to be viewed by all users. On the SharePoint side, we ... Posted to Web Services (Forum) by HelenW on 06-18-2012 Help with XML Data Connection I am working in IP 2007 and SP 2007. I'm connecting to a view of a list using an XML Data Connection as outlined in the following article: http://edgedev.blogspot.com/2008/09/bending-infopath-and-sharepoint-to-your.html I have 11 different forms that I need to do this with and I implemented this on the first of my 11 forms. ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by HelenW on 05-29-2012 Re: Strange problem with date fields and editing in datasheet view OK, here is what I've learned about this whole thing: If I have a site column created as a Date/Time column and a form field created as a Date/Time column and I publish the form, promoting the field and checking off the box to allow editing, publish it as site content type, it publishes and stores the data just fine in both ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by HelenW on 08-23-2011 Re: Strange problem with date fields and editing in datasheet view So, I finally figured out how I can do this. I am using the XML value for my date fields and have created a Form Open rule that looks at each date field and uses the substring function to only show the date portion. Clunky, but it works. If anyone knows of a better way to do this, please let me know. Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by HelenW on 06-20-2011 Re: Strange problem with date fields and editing in datasheet view more info: If I change my fields to date only and use the None (display XML value) formatting option, the problem goes away. For date fields, this isn't so bad, but date/time fields are just so horrible to read. How can I use formatting and keep it displaying the correct time? I tried using the formats that it says are ...
