That'll teach me to leave things alone! Posted to General (Forum) by blueben on 11-09-2010 Does an infopath form need to requiry every time? Hi, I've created an infopath form which queries an Access database to populate drop down menus (dependent on selected criteria). It is a retrieve only connection - the form never updates the database. The problem is that the form needs to be used by staff all over Europe and the data connections in some places are pretty bad. The typical ... Posted to Microsoft Access (Forum) by blueben on 11-09-2010 Re: Some users experiencing a 'glitch' with infopath forms Don't worry - i've managed to solve it. Apparently there was some shading on the form - the problem was that on my pc the shading appeared 'white' however on my laptop it was 'light blue'. I can only guess that it was using a colour that could not be displayed by my pc or on my monitor. Thank you anyway. Posted to General (Forum) by blueben on 11-09-2010 Re: Some users experiencing a 'glitch' with infopath forms I have attached a jpeg of the screenshot - however as i've said the problem is that even screenshots appear differently depending on the system. On my laptop the blue highlighting glitch is shown but on my pc it is not. It makes me think that it must be a display issue but i've checked the settings and I can't see any obvious ... However I've checked the settings and they appear to be identical. Same version of IE, same update, same Advanced settings, same general settings. Posted to General (Forum) by blueben on 11-08-2010 Re: Some users experiencing a 'glitch' with infopath forms Ok - i've just realised that this 'blue highlighting' is appearing on my laptop. So i have both my pc and laptop displaying the same file at the same time - the pc is fine whilst the laptop has the shading. Even weirder; I took a print screen and the highlighting appears on the laptop but not on the pc - this is a print screen!! I ... Posted to General (Forum) by blueben on 11-04-2010 Re: Some users experiencing a 'glitch' with infopath forms Cheers for the info - I never realised this. I'm using IE 8 - however it's possible that they are still using 6. I will check . . . . . . . . Posted to General (Forum) by blueben on 11-04-2010 Re: Some users experiencing a 'glitch' with infopath forms Sure: I am using Infopath 2007 - the form is opened from a network location and then submitted to approvers via e-mail data connections (so no need for IE). I am using XP and so will almost of of the users (some may have W7). I have conditionnal formatting throughout the form. However 95% of this simply hides sections depending ... Posted to General (Forum) by blueben on 11-04-2010 Some users experiencing a 'glitch' with infopath forms I've recently created my first working infopath form and have sent it out to users. However some are reporting a 'glitch' within the form that i'm unable to fix. Apparently when they view the form some of the cells have a 'blue highlght'; similar to what you'd see if you highlighted the cells manually. Whatever they do ...
