I am trying to have an InfoPath view from a multi view form sent to a document library when an InfoPath button is selected. Found that this is possible by setting up an Email Data Connection, selecting the "Send only the active view of the form and no attachment", setting the button to use the email data connection when clicked, and ...

Is the rule on the repeating group itself? If so - you won't need the "../"
I'm attaching a sample. Save it locally, right click and select design to open in design mode. Preview, fill out the row and click the insert button. The next row should auto-populate with the previous row's values. The rule is on the repeating group.

"../preceding-sibling::my:GroupRepeating/my:Field/@my:Attribute" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group.
Did I include all the info?

So - something like this:
../preceding-sibling::my:GroupRepeating[1]/my:Field/@my:Attribute
should do it - I just wasn't sure if your attributes were on the group or on a field in the group. :)

Now I get it! Thanks! It worked by setting the default to the translate formula. I had it as a rule and didn't realize you could put formulas like that as defaults...learned something new.
Thanks Hilary!

I have a large form with many text box controls. I need to convert the data types to decimal and right justify the text inside. I can't seem to find a way to do this in bulk. Any ideas?
Thank you!

I figured out my issue. I had 3 buttons that all did the same thing (identical), in 3 different sections (the section that the user sees is dependent on previously entered criteria)...sorry, that info was not reported originally. So, I finally figured out that I had to have 3 different data connections (all set up the same), one for each button. ...

Hilary Yes!
/my:myFields/my:OptionalSections/my:Group/my:GroupRepeating/my:Field/@my:Attribute
For privacy reasons, I replaced the display names with the type.
