I'm confused by your response. I know what the flagAction is - I referenced it in my response. I also know what the actions are on that rule. I'm asking what is ACTUALLY happening. I thought you said this wasn't working, but when I asked exactly what was happening, you ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-05-2009 Re: Button Rules Ok, it looks fine to me. It simply checks flagAction to see if it's 4, and you would assume that flagAction is 4 if the person clicked Delete Draft on the Welcome Page. If the other rules are working, and they all are checking the flagAction like this, then what EXACTLY is happening when someone clicks "Yes" after Delete ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-05-2009 Re: How to allow the user to change infopath form after the form had been submitted? How to use Update button? You were just confused by the semantics of Update. True, users are "updating" the form, but the action to perform is just a re-submit. You submit the form every time you want to change it, so that's all you need to put on your button. Use my technique here: InfoPath – Auto-Generating Filenames You just need to make sure you ... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-05-2009 Re: Multiline Text Well, those are your choices. A rich text box will auto-expand, but it shows the toolbar. A multi-line plain text box will not auto-expand and will show scroll arrows, but it won't show the toolbar. In this case, you can just manually expand the box to the size you think is reasonable, and then it won't show scrollbars unless ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-05-2009 Re: Button Rules You said that Delete Draft is not running perfectly, but you didn't tell us what is happening. We can't guess what's wrong, so if you can let us know what exactly is happening (or not happening), then we can probably figure it out. Mainly, are you saying that the Delete Draft rule never runs? If so, the condition is not ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-04-2009 Re: An error occurred accessing a data source. Yeah, if you only need to compare the username, then use the userName() function like Qazi said. If you need other profile info for the user for certain fields or comparisons, then you still need to use it. What exactly are you doing with the profile data that comes back from the UserProfileService. The way the methods work in that ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-04-2009 Re: Problems filtering a dropdown list What is the source of these categories? Where do they reside? If there isn't already a master list of them, then you need to create one. Create a custom list for your categories Change the Title field to say SubCategory (this is your unique field) Add a column named category Add a record for all 30 subcategories, and ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-04-2009 Re: Form Versions Then publish the new form template as a content type and add it to the form library. You then have two content types (default and custom), so then forms open with whatever template their associated with. You turn off the old default template in your content type settings so that new forms can only have the new template, but old forms ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 11-04-2009 Re: "Landing" page in SharePoint after submitting form? Are you referring to browser forms? You didn't mention them, so I'm not sure. With rich client forms, there should be no place to return - it opens the client, submits, and then closes or not depending on what your settings are. If you have a browser form, then the return location is specified by the Source attribute in ...
