Either hide the submit button after the first submit.
Or turn on the form library so that it does not allow orver-write of files.

This is typically due to having a lot of data in the DB. How many records are there? For your dropdowns you would want to limit your secondary connection, often to just the one column, so you may need a secondary for each.Or create a filtered or sorted view that has a smaller subset of choices if that is applicable. I would think that ...

This is pretty straightforward.
For your standard submit move the formula out of the connection.
Create a field oin your form which uses the formula and therefore has the form name.
Then use this as the file name source in your data connection.
That way if it is a copy situation.
Have a rule which modifies the filename field and when it ...

InfoPath templates are an integral part of each xml document created.
They provide the information on how to display the data and how the user will interact with it.
In each XML document is a link to the template it was created from.
Each time a document is opened it must access the template.
That is why templates are published to network ...

I know there is a path variable which can be harveted via code.
It should be in a blog or post om this site.
-
That can be done.
InfoPath uses IE security when connecting to data.
Make sure the SharePoint site or network server is in each user's trusted sites or intranet zone. That should provide the trust so that they do not get the warnings.
-
You would need code that would automate the new record process.
You should look at an Active Directory web service. Then you could identify each user by their domain authentication.
Just an idea.
-
Yes that is the case. Full-trust should be a last resort.
You should not need a full-trust form however. Full-trust is so that it can run code which directly accesses the user's computer.
This should not be needed in most cases or can be accomplished through built-in functions or code which uses trusted computing methods.

Form templates and documents are linked.
A document retains a link to the location the template was published and expects it to be there.
Are you publishing to a network file share or web server?
The security is all handled by IE. You would want to make sure the server hosting the template is in the intranet or trusted security zone.
Obviously ...

You can use a hyperlink to pop up additional content.
But you cannot really control its activity or location or behavior.
Tytpically the taskpane is used for this type of thing. To show help information or secondary iunformation and it will be present along the side, although it goes away when the form is closed.
With code you might be ...
