Ernesto makes some very good points.
DB bound forms are a pain to work with down the road, we have plenty of customers who have come to us over the years with DB bound forms becoming totally fed up with the time it takes to maintian their forms. There are plenty of times where you have fields you want in your form that don't need ...

A SharePoint workflow might be a good way of handling this situation - you will need to at a minimum design the workflow in SharePoint designer though as the out of the box SharePoint workflows won't have this as one of their workflows.
If you want to add a second submit button that pushes the form to any users MyStie you could look at ...

Did you try adding this to Local Intranet zone in IE rather than Trusted Sites or Intenet zone?
What's interesting though is that full trust forms shouldn't care what zone you are in, that's kind of the point of signing a form template!

Hi,
Have you seen our DBXL Data Query software?
http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/WSSP.aspx
DBXL Data Query is a generic web service that you can install that will allow you to easily connect to SQL tables and pull back just the information you need. It works with browser forms and works without code.

Sailor,
one thing to note is that qRules is installed on your client machine where you are designing your InfoPath forms. Nothing is actually installed on the server.
If you are using InfoPath form services (browser forms) you will need to admin deploy the forms because qRules is code but you don't need your IT to install anything on ...

Hi there, what version of SharePoint are you using?
You can do what you want to do and it's becoming more common all the time. Our qRules tool makes it easy to do.
If you are using SharePoint 2010 linking those web parts together with the document library is very easy!

Hi,

Roughly speaking you can export your DB data to an Excel spreadsheet then use our Excel to XML migration tool to get the documents into XML (InfoPath) format. Then you can migrate those documents using some DBXL tools to DBXL and from ...

Hi Doug,
Perhaps I can help out here.
Documents in SharePoint are associated with a document library - so when you publish a form template in a document library there is a document to fill out and the user creates a form.
In a SharePoint list there is no "document" but an item, and the user can edit the item.
With qRules you can ...

Hi Debby,
You will need to generate the GUID via code.
Our qRules product already has a command that will allow you to generate a GUID through a rule in InfoPath. qRules is code but you don't need to know code to call the command via a rule. You might find this faster and easier to do that writing your own code to do ...

Hi Pinback,
Our qRules product does this via code and it is using owssrv queries.
We do offer a free trial of qRules, it might be faster to use what have already built than writing your own code.
