Generally, this would be because the XPath is incorrect. Did you right click selectedUnit in the data source task pane and select Copy XPath to make sure it was right?

I know that you can set the message by writing e.CancelableArgs.Message = "some text" But I want to prevent the message from popping up, which does not seem to be possible. Do you know how to prevent it from popping up?

question -
Im using
calculated fields to sum totals into my InfoPath form. I then want to promote
each of the named Items and send both Name and Totals to my SharePoint Library.
Eg,
Name
& Total
[Name] Sulphuric Acid -
Total[56.0]
Alum
Sulphate

and so on. I

Thanks very much for all you assistance I know have the updates working. I do have a question but I think I can get it to work.
If the Task item is updated I want it to update the forms repeating table. This I suppose can be done with rules on form load.
