Unfortunately I do not, but I am sure they are out there if you search for them. Or maybe someone else knows of some.

This sounds cool.
I think most of it depends on what options the control has. When you add it as a custom control there should be a list of parameters that can be set. Have you looked at these to see if they might control some of what you want.
I am pretty sure number 3 is fine. In a published form the user cannot change the ...

Great Question.
It sounds like the list box is not refreshing. I am not sure if / how this could be refreshed. Have you tried requerying the datasource that feed the list box? Although this maybe would reset other legitimate user selections. I am just wondering if that would refresh it.

I am not completely sure if you are using a webservice of a database data connection. This is doable as a database connection; query records, update them and submit them back to the database, but you need to have a form based on a database. How do you use InfoPath, is this a local template or is it getting pulled over the network from an extenal location?
Are you using webservices or ...

A great solution is the Database Accelerator for InfoPath http://www.qdabra.com/proddetail.asp?prod=QDBXL1
This was designed with your situation in mind, where you want to have a great form which ties into a database and ...
