(Using Sharepoint infopath form services & infopath 2007)
So I've created a Vacation Request form for my department, with many sub departments, each with their own supervisor who'd approve these forms.
I've created a standard Submit button which sends the form to each departments Form Library in Sharepoint.

Can you add an index to the list? Then don't query this list on load in your form, but instead use the query fields to get back only the data you need - set the query fields that determine which data you want and then run the query from a rule.

Thank you,
I want the field to be tied to the expression box we created the other day so that when the expression box is 1 field1 is Paragraph 1 and when the expression box for the repeating section is 2 on insert item then the new row is added and the expression box for that row is 2 field1 is Paragraph 2.

Thanks so much for your help, Hilary! Faking the bulleted list with a repeating table works for my purpose - for the existing forms, I'll just copy over the content of the old field manually.

Hello infonewby,
What you are describing is a starter template. In InfoPath you cannot copy logic or data connections from one form to the next, but there's a workaround.
I would take your current production form and create your starter form. I would leave all the common fields and layout, but delete logic and fields ...
