  • Re: buttons rules and text boxes - NEED URGENT

The first approach is invalid code. The second approach is the correct one: XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/my:myFields/my:flag'').Text = ''1''; What is the error you are getting? Are you attempting to do this in an OnBeforeChange or OnValidate event handler? The DOM is readonly during those events and you will not be able to update ...

  • Re: Changing the selected item in DropDown by Code

The kind of thing you are trying to accomplish will require writing custom code to convert ''b'' to ''bb'' and back dependingon whether you select P1 or P2. The reason it is not working is because dd2 has, lets say, ''b'' selected when dd1 = P1. When you select P2 in dd1, ''b'' is STILL the value of dd2. But that value does not exist as an ...

  • Create a Repeating Cascading List from a Hierarchical Data Source

It is common to need two or more list boxes where the choices in one are dependant on the value of another. This is known as a cascading list. A cascade can occur with as few as two levels up to any number of levels. Some common scenarios which require cascading lists are:Location: State / CityVehicle: Year / Make / ModelSchool: Year / Semester / ...

  • Re: Changing the selected item in DropDown by Code

Richard, I don't follow exactly what you are doing. Is the cascading list in a repeating table/section? What do you mean when you say ''the next dd1 selection''? In this the same dd list or in a different one in a separate repeating table/section row? Is the list populating... but also has a blank option? Or it is nothing but a blank ...

  • Re: Repeating Table with Dynamic Query

Drop downs do not have OnClick handlers. You will need to use the OnAfterChange handler. OnBeforeChange and OnValidate both happen while the DOM is readonly. - - - - - position() will probably have no effect in your XPath. I would think that the following should give you the same results: ../@name = current()/my:OptionName Greg Collins ...

  • Re: FORM TO FORM Transfer the node value

If you are publishing the .xml file from the first template with a specified name, you can then have the second template reference that .xml file by setting up a data connection to it. When asked if you want the form added to your template, say NO. This will force InfoPath to look for the .xml file in its original location. Once you have the .xml ...

  • Re: Repeating Table with Dynamic Query

Hi Richard. Sorry. I jumped into your discussion at the end when I posted my response. I just went back and read your scenario. I believe that you have a much more difficult situation here. (following, dd will stand for 'drop-down'): The problem is that when you refresh the web service with the dd2 selection, you are refreshing it for ALL ...

  • Re: Urgent Help Needed- to align Repeating sec. across

Hi Shree, Thank you for clarifying your situation. So it sounds like what you want to do is have the repeating section in the Print view repeat horizontally instead of veritcally. If that is correct, you can do this but it will require manually modifying the XSL file for the Print view. Read the following newsgroup posting for ...
