FORM TO FORM Transfer the node value

    Hi

Please help me regarding Form to Form transfer the node value.
Eg:- There are employee details in the InfoPat XML files
    1. EmpName,
    2. EmpDOB,
    3. EmpSalary, etc..
Opened the EMPPersonal.XSN template file and "Save As" in xml file(EMPPersonal.xml) with above details.

There is another template file called "EMPReport.XSN", from this template/xml file i have to pull the above (1,2,3) details for salary calcualtion by based on employee name/yearly basis, etc..

Please help me on that, how to pull the employee data to report form.

    Thanks & Regards

If you are publishing the .xml file from the first template with a specified name, you can then have the second template reference that .xml file by setting up a data connection to it. When asked if you want the form added to your template, say NO. This will force InfoPath to look for the .xml file in its original location.

Once you have the .xml file added as a data connection then you can reference fields from it the same as you would with any other secondary data source. Because the .xml file was not added to the template, but referenced, when updates are made to that .xml file, they will be available in any new forms made via the second template.
