The debug section does have some values, just not for the GradDegree field. I see values for the First and Last Name fields, the PeopleSoftID, and the concatenated full name, in addition to some fields with default values set (Modified, Created, Program-Concentration, etc.)

The CougarnetID In the main data source will not get a value. At the Query Items rule on form load, The rule here is setting the CougarnetID for the Query Fields of the data connection (this filters the query based on the current user's ID). I'd like to ask if the debug section I added below contain any values?

In the newest posted form, the CougarnetID field never gets set to the field1 value. I have been successful at using the Username() function to directly set the CougarnetID field directly, "field1" was a field I added for testing purposes, it doesn't exist in the list, just on the form.

I found one issue, the line where you tried to grab the Admissions-GradDegree field was set to compare field1 to PeopleSoftID instead of CougarnetID. Sadly, I changed this but still got no data pulled.

I looked at what you did and it would appear that the condition was never met as the CougarnetID field never got set to the value of field1. The Username() function pulled the right userID and displays it as I expect, but the CougarnetID field doesn't get the same value when I preview.

Don,
I opened in Design mode, which brought it up as "Form1," I previewed and the Admissions-GradDegree did not get populated, though field1 does get populated by using the Username() function.

Kindly download the XSN, right click and open in design mode, and preview (click F5). That should do the trick.

Your form gives me a domain permission error and InfoPath won't allow me to open it. Is there a security setting in InfoPath I need to change?
