• Re: Linking Toolbar Buttons to Script Functions

The xsf:button element has a name attribute which defines which OnClick handler to associate with the button. So if you had: <xsf:button name=''foo''... /> then when you click that button it calls into your script looking for: function foo() {...} I don't recall if you need to format the function like any other OnClick handler. If that ...

  • InfoPath SP2 is now available.

This can be obtained via Windows Update or Office Update. As I understand it this SP is strictly a bug fix release with no new features. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP] InfoPath Dev

  • Re: How to remove the space before a plain list

I believe you can do this by adding an inline style to the <UL> tag in your view .xsl file. Change it to the following: <UL style=''margin-top:0''> Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP] InfoPath Dev

  • Use the SharePoint '[Me]' Filter with a Promoted Property

When saving InfoPath forms to SharePoint document libraries you might need to limit the forms users see. For example, if you have an established workflow, you might want to limit users to see only those forms that are assigned to them. SharePoint provides a special filter so that users can see, for example, only those items that they created or ...

  • Re: Populating Drop-Downs from other libraries

If your forms have a very specific pattern of transition, then you might be able o program for that. So if you don't find it in the main list, then you would have your code look for it in the most likely subfolder. I'm not sure exactly what would need to be done, but you should be able to do so. If the form transition is more random, then this ...

  • Re: Infopath has encountered an error!

I hope you have a backup copy that you can run a comparison against your recent changes. Barring that, my experiene with this error seems to usually come from something being wrong in the manifest.xsf file. As for what that could be I cannot tell you. Comparing against a previous version is all I can suggest to do. We try to always keep a ZIP ...

  • Re: Value from form into EmailAdapter

You need to build the string first. Use selectNodes() to get the list of values and then step through them and build up a string with all of the values in it. Then assign that string to oEmail.To. Greg Collins [InfoPath MVP] InfoPath Dev

  • Re: Switching Views w/VBScript

You, unfortunately, are not allowed to switch views inside of the OnSwitchView event handler. I have wanted to do this many times, but it is not allowed. You can switch views during OnLoad and during OnClick (and I think also OnAfterChange -- but I'm not sure). Outside of those, you will not be able to do this.
