• Re: How to print a form template that can be opened in a browser

    Unfortunately, you cannot do that. Please refer to this thread for more details: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/thread/21692.aspx

  • Re: Looping through Data Source nodes

    Well, selectSingleNode returns a node object if xpath matches or null otherwise. So if you do .text of something which is null, you will get an exception. Instead, do something like that: var someNode = something.selectSingleNode(someXPath) if (someNode != null) {   // do something with someNode.text }

  • Re: Looping through Data Source nodes

    Technically this code seems to make sense but maybe there is something else under labels which causes this to fail. I would recommend to step through your code in the debugger, looking at oNode at each iteration.

    Try the following xpath instead: /my:myFields/my:labels/* Then you should be able to use nodeName

  • Re: Adding Tabs (Infopath 2007)

    So, InfoPath does like unbound controls in general (the few controls that may be unbound and still function are buttons, hyperlinks and to a certain degree, expression boxes). But when a control is unbound, the very definition of it is that it cannot have XML data so then InfoPath would have to have a mechanism of exposing data stored in unbound ...

  • Re: Auto Sum returns wrong value?

    If you have 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 1 the answer is 4 :)

  • Re: Can't find XMLForm in OM

    I would not think so - the code can only run on the server, no exceptions. If you hack around and get access to the printer, it will be one on your server which in most cases make no sense. Note that there is a print button in the browser-enabled forms - this is not good enough for you? The only thing that does run in the browser is javascript. ...

  • Re: Can't find XMLForm in OM

    Random guess: You are designing a form that is marked as Browser-compatible (i.e. it may run on the InfoPath Forms Server). When you are in this mode, several OM features are disabled since they make no sense on the server. If you are designing the form that is only intended to run on the client, simple change the compatibility settings via the ...

  • Re: Can't find XMLForm in OM

    It's actually Print() in InfoPath 2007, not PrintOut(): http://msdn2.microsoft.com/En-US/library/aa944006(VS.80).aspx Also, your class that VS/VSTA generated for you derives drom XMLForm so you are XMLForm. As such, you simply say: this.Print() Hope this does it for you...

  • Showing default values from Secondary Data Sources

     Unlike the main data source, secondary data sources have an annoying property of not displaying the values stored in the XML when the view controls are bound to them. It turns out that it does not have to be this way – a small hack can fix it.Consider the following XML file (called data.xml):<?xml version="1.0" ...
