You can set an entire view to read only - so you could have a similar form view with a read only controls and switch to that view if the form is appoved. Your form load rules could change to your new read only view after the form's Final approval.

Probably the simplest way to do this is to use Public Folders and create a separate email for each form template (XSN file).
